Saturday, October 26 – Saturday, November 2 – SCAD Film Festival The Savannah College of Art and Design presents the annual festival, filled with cinematic creativity from both award-winning professionals and emerging student filmmakers. The festival is host to a wide variety of competition film screenings, special screenings, workshops, panels and lectures.

A Whale of a Party: To Celebrate Summon the Sea!, the Telfair Academy Guild will present “A Whale of a Party.” Plans include musical entertainment, culinary fare, and an exclusive opportunity for a viewing of the exhibition, including artist Tristin Lowe’s 52-foot fabric whale Noha Dick.. General admission is $75 and includes two drink tickets. Patron tickets are $125 and include open bar, access to VIP lounge, and a special curator’s tour of the exhibition at 5:30pm. TICKETS

Saturday, November 2

Rock N Roll Marathon: The marathon starts at 7:30 but the streets will be blocked off well before that – some as early as Friday evening. Everything will be impacted from traffic to parking to tours. Route Map for this year’s marathon as well as a list of road closures.

Sunday, November 3

CHARITY EVENT: 7th Annual Tybee Island Kite Festival – Savannah Parkinson Support Group is pleased to announce the 7th Annual Tybee Island Kite Festival for Movement Disorders.  Come fly a kite in honor of someone you love.  Representatives from area businesses that support families with movement disorders will be there, explaining the resources and services. North Beach Bar and Grill, 12pm – 5pm, Tickets: $7 – $20 at the gate.
